LONGIDO MASSAI PROJECT
Region: Arusha | Budget: $188,845 | Beneficiaries: 1,300
This project would bring a school system to children who have never been able to attend, a local health clinic that is desperately needed in this area, and fresh water to provide life to 1,300 people and over 60,000 animals. Currently villagers have to walk eight km away to gather water from a trough that provides both for the people and the animals. Sometimes they must stay overnight in the open field to wait their turn.
Addressing the needs of the Mamra village through education, health, and a sustainable water system will greatly improve their chances to thrive and grow as a community.
